A shot list is a variation of a story board however it is set in a narrative order. It is set out in what shot you will film first, for example if one of your actors can not be on set for a couple hours in the afternoon you film their scenes first so you do not waste time and money on set.
It helped us be extra prepared and know exactly what we were going to shoot first on the day. However on the day of our shooting we changed our shot list as unfortunately we lost one of our actors so had to change it around slightly.
Although we did use it for some sections of the shooting especially the main characters shots as they did not change a lot.
